Understanding For Kids!!, Genesis 33-42
This book picks up with Jacob fearing for his life because of Esau. Then it shifts and inserts a chapter that almost seems out of place. It tells a story of Leah’s daughter who causes trouble for Jacob’s family by getting involved with a prince who was not one of God’s people. There is a lot of sex, violence, and bloodshed in this book. God wanted us to understand that he can take a nation of people who are sinners and still use them for himself. He shows us how He loves them and still fulfills his purposes, even when they act so terribly. I’m happy that God can use me, even when I fail.
